Ring keypad

My entry keypad has stopped disarming the base station when I type in the keypad. This morning the stupid alarm went off, because my phone was updating the Ring app when I tried to use it instead. I've called support about this and they had me factory reset the keypad. That causes the keypad to work exactly once. After that it doesn't work again. Our keypad is never used. All actions are done via the Ring app but I understand many would still use the keypad. That said, I would say that most that use the keypad will most likely subscribe to Ring Protect Plus, and if this is the case, won't the included warranty cover these types of issues? Recently installed the Ring alarm system to replace a first generation SimpliSafe system. The reason I went with Ring and not the newer model of SimpliSafe was due to prior issues with SimpliSafe loosing connection with the monitoring service. tlaw November 24, 2019, 11:21pm #11. Here is the key: go to main ring app thru your phone. select devices. select base station. hit the "settings" gear icon in the upper right hand corner. section advanced options. select Z-Wave. Select remove Z-wave device, then push #1 on the keypad.
