Baits are edible or attractant substances mixed with a pesticide. The bait attracts pests, and the pesticide kills them after they eat the formulation. Baits are commonly used to control slugs, snails, rodents, ants, and some other insects. The amount of active ingredient in most bait formulations is less than 5%.
